My first experimentation with art appeared on my bedroom wall when I was two and got a hold of a box of crayons. Something imprinted on my innocent developing mind as I watched my marks transforming my experience of how I felt ... wildly open, hungry for experience, wanting to DO.
Fortunately my Mother was an artist and creative person in her own right and instead of punishment, I was just given paper to use.
In most of my work, I transform the textures, colors and sounds I perceive in the world around me. I prefer to crystallize and concretize my perception onto found objects so that they carry this new meaning - in addition to how such as a discarded item in itself already carries a hidden story.
